Job description
Job Summary: Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in CT and X-Ray specialties. Job Responsibilities: - Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.- Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient. - Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.- Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.- Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement. - Completes assigned goals.- Provides basic bedside care and support in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit under the supervision of the RN or physician, anticipating and responding to patient needs.- Assists with patient stabilization and life support measures in collaboration with the care team, following appropriate admission, discharge, and
