Technology Assurance Manager – Cloud, Engineering & Platforms

Astrum Search is delighted to be supporting a leading financial services technology and research organization in recruiting a Technology Assurance Manager to join a highly advanced, engineering-led environment.
This is a senior technology assurance role focused on providing independent insight into how modern technology organizations operate, going well beyond traditional IT audit and controls.
You will work closely with engineering leaders, architects, and technology teams to evaluate how technology strategy, architecture, engineering practices, and delivery decisions impact performance, resilience, risk, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead technology assurance reviews across cloud, applications, infrastructure, and data platforms
Assess enterprise architecture, system design, integration patterns, and technology dependencies
Review CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, software delivery, deployments, and system resilience
Evaluate technology transformation programs and delivery governance for execution and operational risk
Assess third-party technology providers, APIs, integrations, and critical system dependencies
Evaluate the scalability, resilience, availability, and stability of critical technology platforms
Apply data-driven approaches to identify systemic technology risks, trends, and performance issues
Partner with senior engineering and technology leaders to communicate findings and drive meaningful improvements
Skills & Experience:
Experience in technology risk, technology assurance, IT audit, engineering, technology consulting, or digital assurance
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, APIs, microservices, and modern software engineering practices
Experience working directly with software engineering, architecture, infrastructure, or technical delivery teams
Ability to evaluate complex technology environments and delivery performance at scale
Strong understanding of technology resilience, scalability, architecture, and operational risk
Background in financial services, technology, consulting, or another complex, technology-driven organization
