nJob Description

nAs an FTTx Designer, you will be responsible for creating fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) designs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: sizing of serving boundaries using GIS address data; analyze, interpret, and organize large datasets; determine feeder routes, distribution routes, and drops to premises by utilizing, parcel, ROW, and easement documentation; determine fiber allocations; reviewing field staking sheets, as-Builts and field collected data to determine the optimal running line and construction method. Analyze aerial Imagery and general maps to identify existing utilities or potential obstructions; and produce and review high-quality constructible plan sets using GIS based software.

nnAbility to edit and create PDF documents (Bluebeam or Adobe skills)

nnAssociate's/bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

n

nnGeneral knowledge in OSP construction methods and best practices.

n

nn3-6 years of FTTx design and/or OSP experience.

n

nnGeneral knowledge of FTTx and/or OSP networks is required.

n

nnKnowledge of Google Earth KMZ files.

n

nnKnowledge of AutoCAD based software is preferred.

n

nnKnowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Software products is preferred.

n

nnKnowledge of asset management platforms is preferred ((IQGEO, NetDesigner, CrescentLink, etc.)
