Job TitleIncumbent typical work assignments may include the following:The employee receives and monitors emergency and non-emergency requests by telephone or automatic alarms throughout the Pentagon Facilities.Conducts operational checks of communications and telephone equipment, notes discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.The employee serves as a Communications Training Officer (CTO) as a collateral duty and is responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, and facilitating training sessions within the prescribed course framework.The employee may serve as an EMD-Q and must be certified as an EMD Quality Improvement Specialist through the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) and attend additional training on the AQUA™ software.Monitors and controls CCTV and other detection systems as both a general surveillance tool and as an assessment tool while observing activity for the presence of unusual, unauthorized or prohibited activity.
