Key Responsibilities
As a Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:
Conducting virtual therapy sessions with clients via secure telehealth platforms.
Developing personalized treatment plans based on clients’ mental health needs and goals.
Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and other modalities as appropriate.
Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
Documentation of client interactions and maintaining accurate records to comply with regulatory and organizational standards.
Collaborating with other mental health professionals within the organization to provide comprehensive support to clients.
Engaging in continuous professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, which may include children, adolescents, adults, and families from various backgrounds. Clients may present with a wide range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your ability to connect effectively with individuals from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds will be crucial in providing tailored support that resonates with each client’s experience.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Strong knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions with a solid understanding of mental health best practices.
Preferred Experience
While we welcome applicants of all experience levels, preference will be given to those who possess:
At least two years of direct experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families in varying settings.
Familiarity with telehealth technologies and the ability to effectively engage clients through virtual platforms.
Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and the ability to manage clinical emergencies.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
