Key Responsibilities
Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate and address the mental health needs of patients, allowing personalized care plans to be developed.
Facilitate clear communication among supervisors, caregiving staff, family members, and other stakeholders regarding client progress.
Provide supervisory teams with a structured schedule detailing appointments, home visits, and observations to monitor each patient’s progress effectively.
Coordinate and perform home visits as needed, ensuring that telehealth observations, chart reviews, and data analyses are adequately implemented.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during meetings to discuss and refine patient care strategies.
Maintain thorough and accurate monthly and quarterly progress notes that reflect patients’ developments and further needs.
Organize training sessions for staff to enhance their competencies regarding program implementation and documentation processes.
Provide ongoing follow-up support through interviews, home visits, and further assessments to ensure continued benefit to each client.
Manage records to ensure accurate and accessible information for interested parties, promoting transparency within the treatment process.
Serve as a liaison within the community, engaging with the public and mental health professionals to address systemic development goals.
Assist in developing and refining training materials aimed at improving programs for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Telehealth Licensed Professional Counselor with Prairie Behavioral Health, you will work with a varied patient population that includes both adults and youth dealing with diverse mental health challenges. This role emphasizes a holistic approach to treatment, ensuring that each client receives the tailored support they need for emotional healing and growth.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Kansas.
Minimum of two years of counseling experience, with a preference for clinical settings to enhance competency.
Strong foundational knowledge of legal and ethical practices relevant to mental health counseling.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport with diverse clientele.
Proficient experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and other relevant technologies.
Preferred Experience
Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, trauma-informed care, or other relevant therapeutic modalities.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, balancing both autonomy and teamwork.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, determined by experience and caseload.
