Job description
Providing specialized speech-language support through teletherapy services in an educational setting offers a unique opportunity to influence student communication development positively. This contract position involves delivering remote speech-language pathology services to school-age children, utilizing virtual platforms to assess and treat various speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct telepractice speech and language evaluations, screenings, and therapy sessions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
Collaborate with educators and families to support students' communication goals.
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of therapy sessions and progress.
Utilize technology effectively to engage students and facilitate teletherapy.
Desired Qualifications and Experience: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Proficiency in delivering speech therapy via telepractice platforms.
Experience working with school-age populations in educational environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to adapt therapy to virtual settings.
Knowledge of IDEA and Special Education regulations is preferred.
