Job description
Join a specialized team caring for adult to geriatric patients in a remote telemetry unit providing cardiac monitoring and support. This contract position offers a focused environment requiring expertise in cardiac rhythm interpretation and consistent patient documentation. The unit has a 16-bed capacity with a 4:1 RN-to-patient ratio, prioritizing quality care across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms twice per shift accurately
Document and measure patient data in adherence with department expectations
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
Maintain personal scrubs in solid colors and follow dress code policies
Cooperate with scheduling, including adherence to requested time off requirements and cancellation policies
Complete non‑billable orientation hours and any required training promptly
Qualifications And Experience
Registered Nurse license with New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate (must be uploaded for submission)
Proven expertise using Epic electronic health records system (MUST HAVE EPIC experience)
Ability to interpret and document cardiac rhythms confidently
Experience caring for telemetry or cardiac patient populations preferred
Completion of Verbal De‑escalation training (Welle or CPI) as required for onboarding
Compliance with a 14‑panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Schedule & Contract Details
Contract position with an 8‑hour non‑billable orientation
Cancellation policy allows up to 5 shifts canceled with 2‑hour notice
Requests for time off must be submitted at application; maximum five days allowed
