Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience.
• Experience with Meditech is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted only with 2 years of perm staff RN experience in acute care. Medication administration, IV start skills, port access, drain management, infection prevention, and central line management with blood draws.
Required Credentials: Traveler will be required to pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance, prior to arrival.
Special Requests: Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff. Up to 7 days of RTO; must extend contract for any full week of RTO. Only 1 weekend of RTO may be requested per 13-week contract.
Unit Details: Medical, surgical, and oncology patient population; chemo, radiation, direct admissions from Cx center, comfort care, and end-of-life patients. No bone marrow transplants. RN ratios: Days - 1:4-5; Nights - 1:5-6. Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week. No call. Will work 2/3 major holidays.
Floating Requirements: Floats to other MedSurg units.
7 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• ONS (Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider)
