Job description

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open-heart care, and permanent pacemaker placements, preferred. Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and amiodarone preferred.
Unit Details: Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill-Rom beds, a Dinamap in each room, 3 Welch Allyn vital machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitors, an EKG machine, a bladder scanner, a Doppler, and iMobile for communication between team members. Procedures performed on the unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions. Patient experience expectations include responding to call lights, using patients’ preferred names, making personal connections, involving patients in bedside shift report, teaching patients to use the phone to call the nurse directly, and asking whether anything else is needed before leaving the room.
Shift & Scheduling: Must work 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.
Floating Requirements: Contract nurses will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
