Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac telemetry or PCU/ICU experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open-heart care, and permanent pacemaker placements. Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and amiodarone.
Unit Details: The assignment is on a cardiac telemetry unit. Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill-Rom beds, a Dinamap in each room, 3 Welch Allyn vital-signs machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitors, an EKG machine, a bladder scanner, a Doppler, and iMobile for team communication. Procedures performed on the unit include IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions. Patient experience expectations include treating every patient with courtesy and respect, responding to the call light, using patients’ preferred names, making personal connections, involving patients in bedside shift report, teaching patients how to use the phone to call the nurse directly, and always asking whether there is anything else you can do before leaving the room.
Shift & Scheduling: Must work full-time hours, including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.
Floating Requirements: Contract nurses will be floated to any area where they have demonstrated competency.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
