Job description

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: EKG/telemetry strip interpretation and medication titration required.
Unit Details: Cardio-thoracic telemetry unit caring for patients with MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery patients with frequent chest tubes, esophagectomy patients (not fresh from PACU), and general medical overflow. RNs titrate drips, mainly Cardizem and heparin. Uses Phillips telemetry monitors; monitor techs are available. RNs may encounter CPAP, BiPAP for home-regimen patients, and heated high flow in special circumstances with COVID patients. Nurse-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; nights work Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday weekends. Holiday rotation for nights includes Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. No call at this time.
Floating Requirements: Float to other general medical units.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
