Job description

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Must have EKG interpretation, IV start, and chest tube management skills.
Unit Details: The unit cares for cardiac and neuro patients. The unit receives patients after heart cath, pacemaker, ablation, Watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion. Equipment includes tele boxes, Welch Allen vital sign machines, and Alaris IV pumps.
Shift & Scheduling: The schedule includes 3-4 weekend shifts per month and no on-call.
Floating Requirements: Floats to PCU and Med/Surg.
10 days maximum time off
1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
