Teller/New Account RepresentativeMoberly Downtown - Moberly, MO 65270Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level Not Specified Travel Percentage None Category BankingRegional Missouri BankDivision/Department: OperationsJob Title: Teller/New Accounts RepresentativeReports to: Branch ManagerType of position: Full-timeHours: Approximately 40/week based on needNon-ExemptPosition Overview: The individual fulfilling this position handles all phases of teller operations, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc. This individual will be required to have knowledge of bank products, bank operations, and deposit compliance and willingness to be cross-trained in various areas of branch operations. This individual shall exercise independent judgment in most instances and require minimal supervision. Provides complete customer services on new and existing accounts. Duties may include preparing signature cards, check orders, transfers, and service charges. Must have complete knowledge of all financial products and services in order to cross-sell to customers. Service bond and security transactions, establishes retirement accounts and make arrangements for direct deposits.Role & Responsibilities:Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations both in person and by handling incoming callsAdheres to policies and procedures to minimize lossesReceives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsementsCashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balancesPrepare cashier's checks and personal money ordersEnters customer transactions to validate transaction accurately and efficientlyBalances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at balancing time and compares totaled amounts with amount in teller drawerPerform services for customers such as ordering checks, debit cards, and ATM cardsRecord/process all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with bank procedures and policiesAccepts loan paymentsBalance currency, cash and checks in cash drawer at the end of each business dayAnswer inquiries regarding checking, savings and loan account and any other bank related productsAttempt to resolve issues and problems with customer accountsPrepares CTR's and familiar with SAR'sAnswer phoneReceive and process new account transactions including opening, maintaining, and closing of accountsAssist customers in their selection of various accounts and financial servicesCross-sell the Bank's products and servicesPromote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relationsDisplay knowledge in online/mobile banking and debit cardsOther responsibilities at the discretion of managementQualifications & Education Requirements:1-3 years teller experience requiredHigh School Graduate/GEDExcel/Word ProcessingMust possess excellent customer service skillsMust possess good verbal and written communicationAbility to work effectively in a multi-task environment.Must be capable of reliable attendance.Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to jobWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
