Warehouse Operator

Position Summary:
Handle goods and products that come into the warehouse. Daily tasks include, checking for damaged or missing items, moving stock around by hand or using a forklift truck, picking and packing orders, keeping paperwork up to date and building skids for goods. Shipping and receiving of goods and equipment, material handling throughout shop departments as required.
Position Accountabilities:
Identify, select, prepare, and package customer orders for timely shipment
Prepare documents and process shipments using computer software system.
Verify correctness of bills of lading, and other records of goods received
Reject damaged goods and correspond with shipper to adjust as needed.
Prepare parts for outside processing, including setup and installation of hardware if necessary
Build skids for shipping goods
Maintain flow of product throughout facility by pulling parts and issuing to shop work orders.
Receive parts and stock in the warehouse.
Load and unload raw material.
Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the warehouse
Perform cycle counting
Other duties as assigned by management
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience with UPS shipping software.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Knowledge and experience in forklift operation.
Ability to use hand tools related to pallet making.
Ability to read a tape measure with accuracy. xzgxqkn
Ability to cut materials with precise accuracy.
Professional Work Experience:
1 to 2 years experience in a shipping department
Educational and/or Training Requirement:
High School diploma or equivalent
