Temporary Administrative AssistantOur client, a business office, is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to join their team. You will be part of the administrative and project support function supporting the Executive Director and the broader team. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping accuracy, confident administrative organization, and clear communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Temporary Administrative AssistantLocation: Hancock, MIPay Range: $19.54 per HourShift: M-F 8AM-5PMWhat's the Job?Provide bookkeeping services by maintaining administrative and project financial records, processing payments and receipts, and preparing billing statements, vouchers, and checks.Generate invoices and related correspondence for annual dues, and help ensure timely deposits and withdrawals of funds from bank accounts.Deliver monthly financial status reports and support administrative recordkeeping by setting up, maintaining, and purging files, budgets, minutes, and other organizational data.Prepare meeting materials including minutes, agendas, and meeting notices, and attend meetings as directed by the Executive Director.Support key programs and projects by maintaining and updating the website and social media, managing vacant property and housing-related data, and assisting with grant administration and RLF program documentation and tracking.What's Needed?Full time, temporary position, for approx. 3 months starting 11/2/2026 through end of January 2027.Successful bookkeeping and administrative support background, including experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong spelling and punctuation.Proficiency with word processing and documentation tools (MS Word, Google Docs) and spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets), plus experience learning and using new computer programs.Ability to prioritize and complete assigned projects with follow-up on details without close supervision.Comfort working with a cross section of people and personalities, with flexibility to switch priorities quickly; creativity, initiative, and commitment are essential.What's in it for me?Opportunity to support the mission and day-to-day operations of an organization focused on economic development.A role where your bookkeeping, organization, and communication skills directly impact program execution and reporting.Hands-on involvement in administrative support for meetings, reports, website/social media updates, and program logistics.Clear reporting structure with direct supervision from the Executive Director and administrative support responsibilities across the team.The chance to contribute to continuous improvement by supporting new programming and additional duties as directed.Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability Insurance401(k)If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
