Temporary employees are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Employees in temporary positions are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.

Brief Summary of Work
The College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts is seeking temporary/part-time faculty for the academic year , with the ability to teach in one or more of the following Humanities departments and disciplines:
History
Philosophy and Religion
UNCW Gender Studies and Research Center
World Languages and Cultures
Academic year includes:
Summer 2026
Fall 2026
Spring 2027
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Undergraduate course teaching: Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
Graduate course teaching: Terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
Those with equivalent verifiable professional experience, certifications, and licensures in the discipline may also be considered.
