n nPrimary Responsibilities:
nResponsible for assisting with the development and implementation of program functions and activities in accordance with Gwinnett County and Georgia High School Association rules and regulations related to the sport.
nnnTeach the desirable traits of character such as persistence, desire to win, teamwork, and cooperation.
n
nnPromote interest, skills, and lifelong participation in various physical activities.
n
nnTeach knowledge and understanding of athletics and of the fundamentals, rules, and strategies of sports.
n
nnAssist in organizing and administering the athletic program so that it is closely integrated and thoroughly coordinated with the general purposes of education.
n
nnTeach the values of self-discipline, sound physical condition, healthy life style, and cooperation.
n
nnProvide an opportunity for competition on an equal basis for all students.
n
nnSupervise the locker rooms before, during, and after practice sessions.
n
nnEmphasize safety in teaching techniques and elements of play and thoroughly educate the players in the rules of the game.

n nPhysical Demands:
nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 50 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
