Temporary Office Operations AssistantBased in Washington, DC, Easterly Government Properties, Inc. is a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) focused primarily on the acquisition, development and management of Class A commercial properties that are leased to U.S. Government agencies that serve essential functions.The firm seeks an energetic, organized, and highly motivated individual with at least two to five years of professional experience to assist the team with a broad range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to management of office operations, administrative support, and other general functions that help contribute to the productivity of the organization in a temporary and part-time capacity. This is a temporary assignment to provide coverage during an employee's maternity leave. The temporary assignment is expected to begin October 2026 running through February 2027, subject to business needs and the timing of the employee's return.The ideal individual will be a self-starter and have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong administrative, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain an effective balance among multiple priorities with a tenacity for meeting deadlines.This role will require the individual to work in-person three days a week with the option to be remote on Thursdays and/or Fridays. This position will also occasionally require work outside of core business hours to meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic organization.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:General Office Responsibilities Manage telephone calls, inquiries, and requestsMaintain office inventory and order office and kitchen supplies as neededCoordinate recurring maintenance with vendors for kitchen equipmentMaintain physical appearance and organization of the officeOpen, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence to appropriate departmentsAssist with planning of office activities, volunteer outings, and any other company organized eventsManage file system for both electronic and hardcopy documentsMaintain vendor relationshipsInterface with building management to maintain the Company's current office spaceAdministrative Support Coordinate travel and accommodations in a consistent and proactive mannerCoordinate and make preparations for meetingsAllocate and review monthly corporate credit card account activityAssist with management team's expense reportsQualificationsBachelor's degree with demonstrated academic achievement in English or Business preferredAt least 2-5 years of relevant experienceStrong organizational skills and the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with a high attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in event planning preferredEmotional maturity and strong interpersonal skillsEffective problem-solving skills and sound judgementStrong Microsoft Office Suite skillsA self-starter with the tenacity toward meeting deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and good self-management disciplineA mature, confident team player who adapts to change and remains calm under pressureMost importantly, candidates must have strong ethical character, be intellectually curious, and have a sense of humorAn Equal Opportunity Employer
