Staffing needs vary across the state, and available locations may change throughout the season.This temporary position runs from October 9, 2026 – April 22, 2027.Schedule and Pay: During winter operations, the Iowa DOT works around the clock and you'll be on call to provide support! Schedules and hours are flexible, and we do our best to work around your availability. Starting wages are outlined below, with opportunity for overtime pay as the weather or garage needs:New Seasonal Workers - $22.50Returning Seasonal Workers - $24.00 Returning = worked any seasonal positions since Oct. 1, 2020This is a non-merit temporary position with the Iowa Department of Transportation.
