To be successful, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and demonstrate a strong desire to be a part of our EPIC Team: E mpowerment P ride I ntegrity C ommunication T eamwork.JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include performing responsible semi-skilled work in the maintenance and operation of public tennis courts; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Tennis Facility Manager.Essential Functions include cleaning and maintaining tennis courts and facilities, collecting and accounting for fees, assisting patrons, cleaning courts of sand and debris, maintaining courts, nets, and windscreens, collecting fees and membership dues; recording and accounting for monies collected, delivering and depositing collections at close of courts, cleaning shop and restrooms, sweeping, and mopping floors, picking up and disposing of trash, preparing and maintaining membership records, selling merchandise, maintaining and updating notification sheets to reflect various facility programs throughout the year, maintaining bulletin board information, assisting customers with court bookings and maintaining facility activity logs, and performing related tasks as required.Qualifications and Physical DemandsEducation and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform repairs and operations, ability to collect and account for funds received, ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and patrons.Physical Demands include light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, kneeling, repetitive motion, walking, stooping, manual dexterity, vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity.Work Environment and Other InformationThe worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, noise, and hazards.Other Information: Since every duty associated with this position may not be described herein, employees may be required to perform duties not specifically spelled out in the job description, but which may be reasonably considered to be incidental in the performing of their duties just as though they were actually written out in this job description.
