Job description
Bates College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in French and Francophone Studies beginning July 1, 2027. The department seeks an outstanding scholar with a commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentorship in a liberal arts context.
The successful candidate will teach French language courses at all levels, offer courses on Francophone literature, cinema, and culture, and lead seminars in their specialty. We welcome cross-listing and inclusive pedagogy.
