Test And Manufacturing Automation EngineerWork Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.Position Overview:The Test and Manufacturing Automation Engineer are responsible for developing and maintaining customized automation equipment, processes, programs, and databases for global factories. They work with both R&D and operations to support New Product Introduction as well as improve operational efficiency and quality.The engineer is responsible for the test analysis, software development, and maintenance of test equipment, programs, and fixtures related to the development, fabrication, and production of products. These products will include electromagnetic devices such as motors as well as higher-level assemblies that may include motors, gears, lead screws, etc.Key Responsibilities:Maintain operations support with an analytical mindset to help Deep Dive data for quality issues and develop robust corrective actionsTroubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA)Design and modify a wide array of automated test and manufacturing/process equipment with regards to electrical schematics, mechanical CAD, test software, and SQL/MySQL databasesWork with new and innovative equipment to maintain any system or process with the understanding of production requirementsSupport the implementation of Standard WorkPerform necessary Quality checks and data collectionWork with development team, manufacturing engineers as well as production personnel to resolve technical issues that are identified through the development and manufacturing process.Provide Design for Manufacturability/Testability feedback to the design team.Participation in activities pertaining to product evaluation test, including ABS events, design review meetings, meetings with suppliers, as required.Store final Test Spec and Gauge R&R results in SVNCritical Competencies :Does not let perfect get in the way of betterDrives Innovation and Growth: Effectively manages the roll-out of innovative processesActs with Integrity: Makes commitments the team can keep; promptly and honestly alerts leadership to problems achieving a commitment.Charts the Course: Positively copes with change; Motivated by challenge of new workIs flexible and works parallel paths to execute projects on timeMust be a motivated, self-directed, team player, expected to actively communicate with colleagues across the worldMust have good computer skills (must be familiar with MS office, Excel, etc.)Must have strong written and oral communication skills for direct and frequent communication with internal and external customers and suppliers.Required Skills and Qualifications:BS of Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls, Robotics, or Computer Science requiredStrong LabVIEW, C++, C#, MATLAB, or VB experienceCAD software design experience (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Pro-Engineer)Strong electrical, mechanical, and controls background is required to troubleshoot systems, machinery, and test equipmentThis position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or RefugeeAbility to pass vision and color eye test or correct vision or color-blindness through some means.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:2 years of experience with electric motors and/or rotating machineryFamiliar with database structure and SQL languageFamiliar with various industry standard machine communication protocolExperience using precision measurement devices and data acquisition (analog, digital I/O, temperature, etc.)Experience reading and working to blueprints, work instructions, and schematics to troubleshoot problems or make required changesExperience with pneumatic or hydraulic systemsWork Type: Onsite: -This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full?time basis.Expected Base Salary Range: ($54,600 - $81,900)The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.This role may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and business needs.Restrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a 'U.S. Person', which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted asylum in the United States, and refugees in the United States, or who otherwise can qualify for a license that permits them to hold the position.Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
