Job description
We are looking for aBattery SQA QA Automation Engineer to drive quality andreliability for battery-powered products at scale. In this role, you will combinehands- on battery validation, manual and automated testing .
You will work closely withHardware, Firmware, Systems teams to validate complexbattery systems, operate automated test labs, and designautomation solutions .
This role requires strong execution, technical depth, and the ability to take ownershipfromproblem definition to deployed solution .
Key Responsibilities
Battery SQA & Validation
Own end-to-endbattery validation for battery-powered products, includingfunctional, performance, and reliability testing.
Develop, execute, and maintainmanual and automated test cases acrossproduct lifecycles.
Monitor automated battery test setups to collect metrics, performinitial triage ,and drive failure analysis.
Report, diagnose, and debug test failures in collaboration with cross-functionalpartner teams.
Supportday-to-day operation of automated testing labs , including hardwaresetup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Automation & Tools
Design and buildPython-based automation frameworks, test utilities, and analysis tools .
Improve and maintain existing test infrastructure, automation pipelines, andworkflows.
Balance execution acrossmanual testing (~80%) and automation (~20%) ,adapting to program needs.
Continuously improvetest coverage, efficiency, data quality, and documentation .
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Analyze large-scale test data and presentclear insights and recommendations to hardware, system, and program partners.
Influence quality decisions through strong technical communication and data-driven analysis.
Skill Requirements
Key Qualifications
B.S./M.S. in CS/EE with 3+ years relevant experience with QA Automation ofsystem, embedded systems, silicon, or hardware test, battery validation, or test engineering .
Strong proficiency inPython for test automation and data analysis.
Experience operating and troubleshootinglab-based, hardware-dependent test environments .
Proven ability to debug complex test failures and drive root-cause resolution.
Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Flexibility to work across changing priorities and project needs.
Other Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience withbattery test equipment, DAQs, or automation hardware .
Hands-on experience validatingbattery-powered devices or energy storage systems .
Background inML experimentation, model evaluation, or deployment .
Familiarity withhardware software co-validation environments.
Experience supportinglarge-scale automated test labs .

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
