Job Summary
Describes anatomy/steps for surgeries; Uses sterile technique; assist surgical team with procedure; collaborates with other members of OR team; transports patients; Demonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development in the delivery of care; Facilitates open communication with all team members; Initiates and supports the teaching mentoring process; Maintains a safe work environment; resolves problems on a one-to-one basis; Takes an active role in professional development. Participates in development/implementation of educational programs for surgical technologist program; Demonstrates the ability to perform surgical technology skills for all general and specialty based cases preferredMinimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eligible for certification by Association of Surgical Technologists through the completion of a formal certificate or degree program in Surgical Technology or by meeting the Association of Surgical Technologists experience requirements, plus one year experience as a Surgical Technologist or comparable position in an acute care setting required.
Work Days
Full-time (40 hours a week),M-F Day/Eve; on call nights/weekend/Holiday
