Job description
Engineer - PainterPerform paint related duties property wide and have working knowledge of, but not limited to, paint, apply all forms of texture, prepare areas for painting, basic stucco and efface repairs, wallpaper repairs as needed.Essential Job Functions:Maintain or apply various types of paint and paint related dutiesTape and mud drywall surfacesPrep walls for paint and/or wallpaperWallpaper repairsFurniture refinishingWork daily with personal hand tools and company owned power toolsComplete work orders as assigned through computer-based program in a timely mannerEffectively communicate details of work orders and follow up through to completionNotify Supervisors of parts and inventory needsEnsure customer satisfactionFollow lawful direction from Upper ManagementUnderstand and follow work and safety rules and proceduresInteract well with others and be a positive influence on Team Member moraleResponsible for adhering to all company and departmental policies and standardsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Working knowledge of paint, wallpaper, and drywallMust be able to tape and mud all drywall surfacesMust have the ability to identify and color match paint as neededMust be able to paint, apply all forms of texture and/or prepare areas for paintingMust be able to perform basic stucco and efface repairsBasic wallpaper techniquesBasic furniture refinishing and color matchingDrywall taping and texturing techniquesAbility to read and comprehend instructions and informationMust be flexible, detail oriented, able to prioritize and able to multi-task effectivelyMust be able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with multiple distractions and meet timelinesMust uphold appearance standardsAbility to problem solve and strategize for better solutionsEducation and/or Experience:High School graduate or equivalentMust be 21+ years oldOne (1) year experience, preferably in a Hotel/Casino environmentPhysical, Mental and Work Environment:Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbolsManual dexterity to operate job related equipmentPerformance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping.These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area.
