Therapeutic Assistant/Behavior Technician Flex 

n140 E. Loop Rd. Wheaton, IL | Clinic-Based | Predictable Monday–Friday, 8:30am-5 PM schedule - no evenings or weekends.

nHourly Rate & Benefits

nnHourly Rate: $19-$20/hour, based on experience and qualifications.

nAbout the Role

nAs an TA/BT Flex at Blue Bird Day , you will provide support and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children ages 2-7 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's cognitive, social, emotional, adaptive, and developmental growth.

nResponsibilities:

nnProvide individualized therapy

nCollect data on programming

nProvide support during therapeutic rotations

nImplement evidence-based intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA

nCollaborate daily with teachers, physical and speech therapists, and social workers

nDocument progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care

n nKnowledge and Skills Required:

nnAssociate's degree or equivalent college credit (60 credits) required; Bachelor's degree preferred

nCompletion of 40-hour training of ASD and behavioral related subjects/evidence-based techniques

nExperience working with children or clients with special needs required

nActive BACB certification preferred

n nWorking Environment and Physical Demands:

nnAbility to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.

nAbility to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.

nAbility to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.

nAbility to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.

nAbility to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.
