General Purpose Flexible Integrated Treatment (Fit) Children's Services

Under the administrative supervision of the Assistant Program Director or Program Director, this position is responsible for providing individual and group therapy to children (0-20) and their families to support their therapeutic process. This is an at-will direct service position within a program. The position supports clients/members with gathering the necessary information to complete their assessments and treatment plans. Will provide individual and group therapy to our members to support their therapeutic process.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

Providing group and individual therapy/counseling under supervision of clinical or program director.

Providing psycho-education in group, family or individual format; making recommendations for improvement in clinical program; having input on clinical issues as part of the clinical team.

Carrying a caseload; providing consultation as necessary on clinical issues.

Consulting with or meeting regularly with the client's family, care provider or other significant persons with client's consent.

Developing individual service plans for each client and empowering clients in meeting their goals; assisting teams with development of service plans that reflect measurable objectives.

Advocating for and assisting clients and their families in accessing and receiving mental health treatment, medical care, housing, food and clothing as indicated.

Completing regular internal utilization reviews under direction of Clinical Director; reviewing and ensuring timely completion of special incident reports, as well as mandated reports.

Assisting the Clinical Director in all areas of clinical program development as needed including KET tracking.

Providing "on-the-spot" counseling that is both helpful to the clients and consistent with the philosophy of the program.

Attending to the safety, health, and wellbeing of the clients.

Completing paperwork as assigned in a timely manner and meeting agency standard for billable units per month; ensuring that all notes meet billing standards for content and configuration.

Problem solving communication difficulties between staff and clients by providing interventions to enhance communication.

Driving on agency/program business utilizing personal vehicle; visiting clients in home periodically to provide direction and support.

Attending staff meetings unless approval for non-attendance is secured from the Program Director and/or his/her designee.

Education, training and experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and active registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). Licenses; certificates; special requirements: valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) California driver's license & current vehicle insurance/registration reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
