Job description
$ /week -nn Job Summary:n
n The Occupational Therapist will assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical standards. This role involves providing skilled rehabilitative services, documenting treatment progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.n
nn Responsibilities:n
n n Evaluate patients’ cognitive and physical functioning to develop individualized treatment plans.n
n Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including ADL retraining, exercises, modalities, and assistive device use.n
n Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.n
n Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and team members regarding treatment progress, barriers, and discharge plans.n
n Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic health records in accordance with policies.n
n Support supervision and mentoring of occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.n
nn Qualifications:n
n n Hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri.n
n Possess at least 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.n
n Demonstrate proficiency in conducting standardized assessments and clinical documentation.n
n Commit to adherence to NBCOT/AOTA practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards.n
n Be able to perform and support supervision of therapy staff and students when required.n
