Job description

Job Summary:
Provide rehabilitative and skilled occupational therapy services to patients with cognitive and physical disorders under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional independence.
Responsibilities:
Support clinical interventions by utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to patient needs.
Administer therapeutic procedures including ADL retraining, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
Assess patient progress and communicate findings to supervising Occupational Therapist to modify treatment plans accordingly.
Document all clinical activities, patient progress, and regulatory information accurately in electronic records.
Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, families, and caregivers to ensure effective treatment and discharge planning.
Support supervision and training of students under the guidance of licensed Occupational Therapists.
Qualifications:
Possess active State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Hold a valid COTA license or registration.
Have at least 1 year of experience as an OTA, preferably in LTC or Rehab settings.
Demonstrate proficiency in documenting and maintaining detailed clinical records.
Comply with NBCOT/AOTA standards, practice acts, and ethical guidelines.
