Job description

Job Summary:
Provides rehabilitative and medically necessary occupational therapy interventions to patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Focuses on supporting patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders to improve their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices tailored to patient needs.
Administer procedures such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
Assess patient progress and communicate adjustments to treatment plans to supervising Occupational Therapist.
Document treatment activities, patient progress, and outcomes in electronic health records per regulatory standards.
Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers to optimize care.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to maintain quality standards.
Qualifications:
Possess a valid COTA license and active state licensure when applicable.
Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
Have knowledge of regulatory requirements, documentation standards, and clinical practices.
Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Able to support and supervise students as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
