Job Summary:
A skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is sought to join a large skilled nursing facility in Monterey County, CA. The role involves providing patient-focused occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to enhance residents' functional independence.
Responsibilities:
Implement and administer occupational therapy treatment plans for residents with diverse needs.
Communicate effectively with Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary care teams regarding patient progress.
Maintain compliance with facility policies, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in Net Health or equivalent systems.
Collaborate with staff to adjust care plans based on patient response and clinical judgment.
Ensure timely completion of documentation and adherence to certification requirements.
Qualifications: Hold an active OTA license in the state.
Demonstrate experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.
Possess strong documentation and time-management skills.
Show flexibility and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Mentorship programs available for candidates with 0-1 year of experience.
Ability to work Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday schedules preferred.
