Compensation
Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Occupational Therapist facilitates development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy. Occupational therapists provide rehabilitative services to patients with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. Occupational therapists use treatments to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of their patients. An occupational therapist job description includes helping patients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also helping them to compensate for permanent loss of function. Occupational therapists assess and record client's activities and progress.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Graduate of an accredited college degree program in Occupational therapy.
• Bachelors or Master Degree (entry level).
Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• Minimum of one year experience.
License/Certifications
• NYS License in Occupational Therapy.
