Job description

PHYSICAL THERAPIST OUTPATIENT CLINIC

nPhysical Therapist with Baylor Scott & White you will have the opportunity to practice in our Outpatient Clinic, and work with a Physical Therapist Assistant (when available). We specialize in orthopedic physical therapy, sports injuries, neuro , joint problems, balance disorders, and work-related injuries and more. We are looking for a Physical Therapist who enjoys the flexibility of being PRN now with the option to grow in to a full-time role if desired. Our Forney clinic is located north of US Hwy. 80 on FM 548.

nnnShift/Schedule: PRN Day Shift Monday - Friday (No Weekends)

nnMust have a current Physical Therapist license by the State of Texas.

nnAll Outpatient - no acute care

nJob Summary

nThe Physical Therapist PRN cares for patients by evaluating, planning, implementing treatment, educating, and planning discharge to maximize function.

nEssential Functions of the Role

nnnEvaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.

n

nnPerforms thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.

n

nnCommunicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.

n

nnSupervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.

n

nnAdvances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.

n

nnImparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national and state regulatory guidelines.

n

nnMaintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

n

n nKey Success Factors

nnnMust possess problem solving skills at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

n

nnMust have good communication skills. Relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.

nnPossesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.

nQUALIFICATIONS

nnnEDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

n

nnEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

nnCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

n

n nPhysical Therapist (PT)

nBasic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
