Job description
Therapist, Physical Therapist - Therapist, Waimea, Hawaii
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients physical condition, movement limitations, pain levels, and functional deficits.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore mobility, strength, and functional ability.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Treat patients recovering from injury, surgery, or managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and ensure measurable outcomes.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, posture, ergonomics, and home exercise programs.
- Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and therapy aides.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Discharge patients with individualized maintenance and self-management plans to support long-term recovery.
