Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides Marion County patients with rehabilitative therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role emphasizes delivering individualized treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing treatment plans directed by the primary Physical Therapist.
Evaluate and document the effects of therapy treatments, adjusting approaches as necessary.
Communicate patient progress and treatment outcomes effectively to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery strategies.
Manage patient scheduling, front office duties, and maintain comprehensive, timely records.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an APTA-approved Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
Current licensure as a PTA by the State of California.
Demonstrated proficiency in physical therapy procedures, modalities, and assessment techniques.
Experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or outpatient physical therapy preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and follow detailed treatment protocols.
