Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant supports patient rehabilitation programs by assisting licensed therapists with implementing treatment plans. This role involves working closely with patients to promote healing and improve mobility.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed therapists in delivering patient care according to established treatment plans.
Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
Prepare treatment areas and ensure the proper use of equipment.
Educate patients on exercises and rehabilitation strategies to promote recovery.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
Adhere to safety protocols and state licensing requirements during patient interactions.
Qualifications:
Possess a valid California Physical Therapy Assistant license.
Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients and team members.
Show proficiency in patient assessment and documentation.
Be able to work day shifts, with availability for one weekend per month.
Exhibit a strong adherence to professional standards and protocols.
