Job description

n Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) delivers patient-centered rehabilitative care to assist with recovery from physical functioning disorders. The role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.n
nn Responsibilities:n
n n Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices to promote patient recovery.n
n Administer a variety of treatments such as manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.n
n Assess patient progress and communicate findings to supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments.n
n Document all services, treatment minutes, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records per regulatory standards.n
n Provide education, counseling, and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and progress.n
n Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training to ensure high-quality patient care.n
nn Qualifications:n
n n Hold an active State Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.n
n Possess a minimum of 1 year of PTA experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.n
n Demonstrate proficiency in administering therapeutic interventions and documenting clinical activities.n
n Ability to work effectively under supervision and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.n
n Exhibit strong communication skills and professionalism in patient interactions.n
