Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides supportive therapeutic care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. They assist in implementing treatment plans and helping patients regain mobility and functional ability.
Responsibilities:
Assist in administering prescribed physical therapy treatments to patients.
Monitor and document patient progress and report findings to the supervising therapist.
Educate patients and family members on therapy exercises and injury prevention.
Support the organization and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure patient comfort during sessions.
Qualifications: Valid license or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Proven experience working in acute or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Strong understanding of therapy techniques for brain injury and stroke recovery.
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
