Job description
Job Summary:
Provide essential physical therapy support to patients in a skilled nursing facility, assisting with rehabilitation and recovery goals under the supervision of licensed clinicians. Ensure patient safety and deliver personalized care to improve mobility and functional independence.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed physical therapists with implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations accurately.
Support patient adherence to prescribed therapy routines and safety protocols.
Maintain proper use and cleanliness of therapy equipment and clinical spaces.
Communicate patient status and treatment updates to the supervising therapist.
Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapy Assistant license or credential.
Proven experience working in a skilled nursing or similar clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
Knowledge of patient safety procedures and documentation standards.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
