Job Summary:
Provides skilled physical therapy support to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Focuses on implementing treatment plans to improve patient mobility and recovery through evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities:
Administer medically necessary treatments, including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
Assess patient progress regularly and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.
Document all interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately in electronic health records according to regulatory standards.
Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers to support optimal recovery outcomes.
Support the supervision and mentoring of students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Valid and active State PTA license.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant PTA experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
Demonstrated proficiency in documentation, clinical interventions, and patient care.
Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and patients.
Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
New graduates with Level II clinical experience will be considered.
