Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant supports licensed therapists in delivering high-quality patient care through implementing treatment plans and assisting with various therapeutic activities. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring effective rehabilitation and recovery processes.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed therapists in executing patient treatment plans effectively.
Set up, operate, and maintain therapeutic equipment according to standard protocols.
Monitor patient progress and report any significant changes to the supervising therapist.
Educate patients and their families on therapy routines and post-treatment care instructions.
Document patient responses and progress accurately in compliance with facility policies.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including wearing a photo badge and carrying identification.
Qualifications:
Certified as a Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA) or equivalent credential.
Proven experience in a physical therapy setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and adapt to patient needs.
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities used in rehabilitation.
Ability to work reliably within a scheduled 14-week contract, Monday through Friday.
