Job Summary:
Provides therapeutic radiation treatments to patients in accordance with prescribed protocols under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. Ensures accurate, safe delivery of radiation therapy while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
Set up patients and treatment equipment precisely according to prescribed treatment plans.
Administer radiation treatments and monitor patient response during sessions.
Perform daily quality assurance checks on treatment machines and imaging equipment.
Record detailed treatment data and review treatment plans for mathematical and technical accuracy.
Interpret and verify port-images and treatment localization films for accuracy, obtaining physician approval.
Educate patients on procedures, address concerns, and provide reassurance throughout treatment.
Qualifications: Hold a graduate degree from an AMA-approved school in radiation therapy.
Demonstrate at least one year of clinical therapeutic radiation therapy experience.
Possess experience working with Varian TrueBeam technology and Mosaiq EMR.
Be certified in radiation therapy with relevant state licensure if applicable.
Exhibit strong understanding of treatment planning, dosimetry, and radiation safety protocols.
