Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory therapy services to patients in accordance with physician orders, ensuring safe and effective treatment. Responsible for evaluating patient needs, implementing therapies, and monitoring patient responses throughout shifts.
Responsibilities:
Assess patient respiratory status and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and advanced respiratory interventions including CPAP/BiPAP.
Perform procedures such as incentive spirometry and arterial blood sampling.
Document patient care activities accurately within Epic and other electronic health records.
Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatments as necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, certifications, and licensing requirements.
Qualifications: Hold a valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Tennessee.
Possess at least 1 year of clinical experience, with travel experience preferred.
Certified in BLS and ACLS.
Demonstrate recent Epic experience within the last 18 months and pass the Epic competency exam.
Have strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
Be willing to work night shifts (3x12 hours).
