Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies, primarily on a part-time basis. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver critical support and administer respiratory treatments in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities:
Administer ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP therapies to patients.
Perform Arterial Blood Gas sampling and analysis accurately.
Administer medications via nebulizer and metered dose inhalers.
Cross train in Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) studies to support department needs.
Educate and act as a resource for team members regarding respiratory procedures.
Follow established protocols to deliver safe, effective respiratory care.
Qualifications: Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license.
Require BLS (AHA) certification.
Require ACLS certification.
Require NRP certification (highly preferred).
Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
Strong understanding of ventilator management and critical care procedures.
