Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to adult patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced critical care environment. Deliver ventilator management and other respiratory treatments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly.
Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators, including setting up and troubleshooting equipment.
Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen, Airvo, and other supplemental treatments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
Respond promptly to patient needs and critical changes in condition, maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications: Hold NBRC Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
Possess a minimum of 6 months of current RRT experience in a critical care setting.
Maintain BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
Demonstrate experience with ventilator management and respiratory procedures.
Have pediatric or PICU experience and strong ICU background preferred.
