Primary Therapist (SUD) – Detox & Residential
Location: Tiffin, OH (open to candidates in surrounding areas) Schedule: Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday (Daytime) Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are actively hiring a Primary Therapist with experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment to support patients through detox and residential levels of care. This role offers a manageable caseload of 1–10 clients, allowing you to focus on quality care, clinical outcomes, and meaningful patient engagement.
You will play a key role in the full clinical lifecycle, from pre-assessment through discharge planning, working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pre-assessments and clinical screenings to determine appropriate level of care
Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual therapy and crisis intervention for patients in early recovery
Facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, MI)
Manage a small caseload while maintaining high-quality, compliant documentation
Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
Track patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and support successful discharges
Requirements
Active Ohio licensure required: LCDC, LPC, or LSW
Experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD), addiction treatment, or behavioral health
Detox and/or residential experience strongly preferred
Experience with co-occurring mental health disorders is a plus
Strong documentation, assessment, and patient engagement skills
