Located conveniently in historic, downtown St. Charles, our 333-bed acute care hospital is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center, a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and specializes in many other specialties.Generous benefits package including:Health, Dental, and Vision insurance; Life insurance; Prescription coveragePaid Time Off (PTO) and Extended Illness Days (EID)A 401(k) retirement plan with company matchShort and Long Term DisabilityPersonal and Family Medical LeaveExcellent Orientation ProgramResponsibilitiesAssists Therapists with transferring patients to/from all surfaces and equipment appropriate to the facility/departmentAssists Therapists in donning/doffing all adaptive equipment specific to the facility/department.Assists Therapists with positioning patients for standing with appropriate orthotic/prosthetic devices and equipmentAssists Therapists with other patient related treatment activities as appropriate and providing equipmentAssist Therapists with patient related activities including equipment set-up and patient positioning in preparation for therapy session as outlined in the State Practice ActMaintains the department and department equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Prepares department each morningPicks up equipment during treatment hours and at the end of treatment dayMaintains department and disinfects equipment throughout and at the conclusion of the treatment day according to hospital infection control policies and proceduresReports defective equipment to Therapy SupervisorFollows and assists with facility infection control policies and risk management proceduresAssists the Therapy Supervisor with identification of support staff needs for patient careAssist Therapists in therapeutic dysphagia and feeding program as requested and supervised by the speech therapistsQualificationsMinimumDirect patient care experience requiredHigh school graduate or equivalent requiredEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disabled/Veterans
