Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Pediatrics
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30)
Experience: Minimum 3 years required
License: Active Illinois license required
Certifications: BLS, NBCOT
Must-Have: Pediatric experience
Description: Must have pediatric experience. This position involves working in an outpatient pediatric setting. The therapist will provide therapy services to children with various diagnoses. The work includes evaluating and treating sensory issues, developmental delays, and autism. The candidate will work with both parents and children to develop and implement therapy plans. Tasks include activities of daily living, adaptive equipment assessment, and home exercise programs. The facility features a sensory-friendly gym and rooms tailored for multiple tasks. The environment is equipped to support the unique needs of pediatric patients. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services, is essential. The candidate should be comfortable floating to meet facility needs as required. Candidates may discuss scheduling requests with management. The facility aims to meet the developmental therapy needs of its patients. Flexibility and a commitment to patient care are important for this role.
