Job description
Physical Therapist
This position involves working in acute care. The therapist will float between units as needed. Working hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:20 AM to 5:50 PM. Weekend coverage is not required, and on-call duties are not required. The expected patient ratios are between 5 to 10. The therapist will need to travel to a sister facility for outpatient coverage. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is expected to be around 5 visits. Interdisciplinary support is available within the therapy team. Therapists will encounter a variety of diagnoses in a lower acuity inpatient population. Special procedures and equipment include hoyer lifts and therapy stairs. Wound care is not required for this position. Candidates may be expected to float between facilities as needed. Communication devices will be provided if necessary for the assignment. Candidates must provide two professional references covering one year of experience during the compliance process. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment.
